McNett's Gear Aid Aquasure SR Shoe Repair Adhesive re-bonds loose soles and tears in boots and shoes. Use it to permanently re-bond a peeling boot sole. It also rebuilds heels and can re-bond boot rands along with repairing torn leather and fabric panels. If used with FiberFIX (45mm), one 28g tube of kite bladder glue will allow you to make approx 1.2m of repair. And even more if fiberfix is cut down to a smaller width!

For instant in field wader repairs, use the Aquasure® Instant Repair Kit. Apply a patch over tear on outside of wader. Apply Aqusure® to tear on inside of wader and 5 mm beyond the tear. Cover with another patch. Waders can be used immediately. Patches can be removed after 2-3 days. Aquasure FD is a maximum strength urethane-based repair adhesive ideal for making permanent repairs that cannot be broken down with solvents. Once cured, Aqua sure provides great abrasion resistance, so it is recommended on high-wear areas. It’s ideal for repairing rips, tears and holes in wet suits, dry suits, waders, water sports gear and more. Aquasure offers long-term durability well as excellent adhesion and waterproofing with minimal shrinkage. It is safe for use on natural and synthetic fabrics including GORE-TEX, neoprene, Nypalon, urethane, and rubber. Aqua sure requires 8-12 hours to fully cure. Aquasure is a high viscosity gel that cures to an extremely elastic, clear urethane rubber. Since it is a thermoset urethane, cured Aquasure is impervious to solvents or extremes of heat and cold (-40F to +400F). McNett Aquasure+FD adhesive provides a clear, strong and flexible finish for permanent waterproof repairs for use on most materials, including: neoprene, rubber, textiles, hypalon, PVC, polyester, nylon, polyurethane etc - does not bond to silicone coated surfaces. We give an un-opened tube of adhesive a two-year shelf life. The „batch-number“ will be crimped into the bottom of the tube. The adhesive is typically good for two years past the date of filling. Offers excellent adhesion, superior waterproofing, and long-lasting flexibility with minimal shrinkage. You can color Aquasure FD using ceramic pigment found at most craft stores. Just mix it directly into the Aquasure FD. Once cured Aquasure FD is inert. As soon as you pop the top on the tube and expose the adhesive to the moisture in the air, the countdown begins. Unfortunately, you are unable to stop the curing process, but you can slow it down by storing the adhesive in a dry environment like your freezer. We typically recommend storing as follows:

Apply just enough Seam Grip to cover the hole and spread ca. 6 mm beyond. Allow to dry (cure) level overnight. For 2-4 hour cure time, mix Seam Grip with Cotol-240™plus before applying. (fig. 4) Use Aquasure® for repairing wader seams. Turn waders inside out and examine seams and fabric for gaps. Apply Aquasure® directly to the seam, extending over seam and on to fabric by 6 mm. Use brush to work Aquasure® under fabric folds and into stitching. Allow Aquasure® to cure for 8 to 12 hours. You can color Seam Grip using Ceramic pigment found at most craft stores.
